So, it's been awhile since I posted and quite a lot has happened in the past month of my life. I thought I'd post some cool pictures from an adventure my mum and I had.
Mum came out to Tennessee to help drive me to my summer destination. Those of you who know where I am now are really really jealous. Don't be. Just be happy that I'm going to have the best summer ever while you all are doing whatever it is you're doing.
Mum is standing near the entrance to the house's garden. The picture of me is in front of the house.
For those of you who don't know, Carnton Plantation is also the home to the largest, privately owned Confederate graveyard. The house was used as a hospital during the battle, 6 Confederate generals died in the battle and were laid out on the porch. After a few years, the soldiers that were buried in the battlefield were moved to the same plot as the McGavock family cemetery behind Carnton House.
Afterwards we went to 'downtown' Franklin. We had some dinner then went on a Haunted Franklin tour, with a little Murder and Mayhem thrown in. Margie of Franklin on Foot did a wonderful job of entertaining us on the tour.
(Also, Franklin is one of the "1,000 Places to See Before You Die: US and Canada", so there's another one off my list.)

Then we swung past this place:
I had also heard of another cool place in the "1,000 Places to See Before You Die: US and Canada" that I told mum about. It was so great we both agreed we had to go.
Yes. Carhenge. A once in a lifetime event.
Happy summer travels to you all, if you get a chance to come to my mystery location, I'd love to play with your children!
PS: This trip wouldn't have been complete if Mr. Jenkins hadn't appeared in my suitcase.
He has been placed again, but not found. I'm sure I would have heard something about it had he been found... at least I hope I would hear about it. 'Cause it was a pretty good one.
